The Federation of European Direct and Interactive Marketing was created in 1997 by a merger of two bodies: the European Direct Marketing Association (est. 1976) and Federation of European Direct and Interactive Marketing (est. 1992).
FEDMA is the representational organisation at European level for the direct and interactive marketing industry and associated businesses such as electronic retailing, printing, paper, postal, advertising, media and others. For more than 10 years FEDMA has been a platform for exchange of information and best practice between its members and the various bodies involved in the industry. FEDMA also aims to facilitate research and study and to promote Direct Marketing through training, publications, conferences, etc. Direct and Interactive Marketing is a strategy also known as Dialogue, Relationship or One-to-One Marketing.
Representing the interests of more than 18,000 companies, FEDMA is the single voice dedicated to building the business of cross-border direct marketing, both through its vast network of businesses within and beyond Europe and by representation within the Institutions of the European Union and other international bodies.
