Ukraine (UAIA)The tender for official internet measurement for the Slovak market was announced by IAB Slovakia in January 2011 and included three parties: Gemius in partnership with Mediaresearch, comScore and TNS Slovakia.
In the second round of the tender, the Slovakian joint industry committee verified the fulfillment of all requirements stated in the tender assignment, relevant experience of the candidates as well as the nature of the services offered and solutions proposed for online audience measurement. Gemius and Mediaresearch Slovakia won with the other final contender, TNS Slovakia, and will thus continue their cooperation with IAB Slovakia in the official online audience research project.
This new wave of internet audience measurement in Slovakia run by Gemius Slovakia and Mediaresearch Slovakia will include several modules: websites audience measurement, study of internet audience originating from mobile devices, as well as online video audience research. Using the new generation of web analytics tool, gemiusTraffic 2.0, the next wave of the AIMMonitor project will offer IAB Slovakia some extensive innovations. These comprise the new methodology facilitating quicker delivery of monthly reports with the sociodemographic structure of internet audience. Among the novelties there is also a solution for reporting the number of Real Users in the online application (http://online.aimmonitor.sk/) as soon as the second day after the end of the studied period (day/month/week).
Also, by extending the reported internet uses’ age from 14+ to 12+, Gemius will be able to provide a more accurate comparison of online users with TV audience. With the inclusion of mobile internet research, the new wave of the study will report on the number of page views generated with the use of mobile devices. Furthermore, Gemius is planning to introduce reports presenting the number of Real Users using mobile devices as well as recruit panelists from mobile devices.
Milan Csaplár, Chairman of the IAB Slovakia Executive Board, comments on the decision of IAB Slovakia: Following the conclusion of the tender process I can only say that we make another important step in the development of the Slovak internet reality. The market will be provided with reliable and high quality data of Gemius, which has proved its expertise in the matter during the previous period of conducting the AIMMonitor project. This asset of the winner is further reinforced by the study novelties that Gemius as the online audience measurement provider offers us.
