The third international Internet CEE conference will be held on 25 - 26 May, 2010 at the Fabryka Trzciny Art Center in Warsaw, Poland. Amongst other topics, this two-day event will focus on current trends in digital media and the ongoing development of the internet industry in Europe.
The conference will bring together publishers, representatives of media houses, interactive agencies and advertisers, as well as investors interested in the CEE region, with the aim of discussing current internet trends and presenting an overview of the rapidly expanding field of e-business. This international event represents a great opportunity to exchange views and establish new business contacts. The aim of the conference is also to share the best industry practices and case studies, not only from the developing markets of Central and Eastern Europe, but also from more mature European e-economies, such as the United Kingdom and Denmark, where the internet is an inseparable part of most media plans.
Among the confirmed speakers at this year’s event are key representatives of leading worldwide and CEE companies such as: Coca-Cola, Zenith Optimedia, O2 Media, Yandex Russia and GEEWA. Each of the previous Internet CEE conferences have attracted almost 300 participants.This year's conference comprises four subject areas, devoted to the hottest issues facing online marketers:
1. New face of traditional media: which are the most effective ways to utilize the potential of offline publishers on the internet; how to monetize video content on the web; VOD versus online TV;
2. Media convergence – internet users’ consumption of alternative media; recipes for an optimal marketing mix; mobile marketing; advergaming;
3. How to earn during the recession/Recession as a catalyst for change;
4. Ways of brand building on the internet. The conference agenda is designed to ensure an exchange of ideas and fruitful debate together with the opportunity to question key experts in the field of online media and e-business about the most interesting and critical issues. There will be panel discussions, research-based lectures and the presentation of opinions and case studies. As Seth Bindernagel, Director of Localization at Mozilla and speaker at the previous Internet CEE conference, has said: “The growth and usage of the Internet are critically important to understand, especially in the leading markets of Central and Eastern Europe. Many leading technologies on the Web, and even critical contributors to the Mozilla project, come from this region. By participating in this conference, all conference attendees will learn critical insights from speakers and their research about the state of the Internet in this region.” The main organizer of this year’s event, as of the two previous Internet CEE conferences, is Gemius (www.gemius.com), the largest online research agency in Central and Eastern Europe. “The Internet CEE conference is intended for marketing and sales directors, top managers and representatives of media as well as for all companies interested in the European online landscape," said Marta Klepka, Deputy Director of International Operations at Gemius. "We expect this year's conference to be the most successful so far, attracting many visitors and featuring interesting speakers.” she added.
