Ukraine (UAIA)Guy Phillipson, CEO of IAB UK and Thomas Duhr remain as Chairman and Vice-Chairman respectively, and Antonio Traugott of IAB Spain is Treasurer.
The National entities are Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, and the UK. The nine countries represented on the Board reflect the broad range of markets across Europe, from mature to those still developing as well as the full diversity of culture and trends.
The Corporate representation on the Board is composed by Microsoft Europe, United Internet Media, Trade Doubler, Yahoo!, Orange Advertising Media, comScore, BBC, Hi-Media and Group M.
The make-up of the new Board underlines the commercial and legal focus of IAB Europe while the variety of companies highlights the growing importance in the digital sector of European and US companies, media owners, agencies, research companies and technology providers.

"Within the IAB Europe Board, we've started up some projects the past months that I would like to continue to work on to get them finalized. I would like further to concentrate my efforts on European projects that can be used by every national IAB, such as a certified education program, European benchmarks and research studies and our information exchange sessions on membership services, recruitment and management."
For IAB Denmark (FDIM) - Morten Helveg Petersen, General Manager
"I’m representing a small country. Denmark has a 5,5 mio population. But as a Dane, my experiences, my culture, my language and my market experience resembles those of the other Scandinavian countries to a high degree. In this way, I’m speaking not only on behalf of Denmark. In my voice you’ll also hear the Sweedish, Norwegian and Finnish interests echoed. I’m also representing a very advanced internet market. 4 mio danes surf the web at least once every month. Nearly all on broadband connections. A market in which the internet accounts for 21 percent of total advertising spend – leaving all other mediagroups (including print and TV) behind. A market in which both display, search and classifieds are well elaborated and mature segments. A market in which webtv and mobile are taking off. A market in which standards and measurements are integrated and widely accepted. A market with experiences which I as board member of IAB Europe will help articulate to the good of all".
For OVK (Germany) - Björn Kaspring, General Manager
"The OVK (Online-Vermarkterkreis or Circle of Online Marketers) is the central body of online marketers in Germany. My motivation for the candidature : building a powerful bridge to the German online market and the important companies in the market supporting the aim to speak with one voice for the European online advertising market bundling the power in the IAB Europe to raise the profile of online advertising in Europe working on authentic figures for the entire European online advertising market increasing market transparency and planning reliability by the use of standards and consistent terminologies."
For IAB Greece - Constantinos Kamaras, Board Member
Constantine is a founding member of IAB Europe and has served as its Vice-Chairman from 2003 to 2008. A co-founder of IAB Greece in 2001, he continues to serve on its Board as one of its publisher members, given his capacity of publisher of Sport.gr, a leading network of sports sites in Greece. In his tenure as IAB Europe Board member, Constantine continues to focus principally on the area of 'best practice' as experience shows that there is great value to be delivered when national IABs share information, compare experiences and discuss successful models in a variety of areas such as research, training and member services.
For IAB Hungary - Endre Somogyi, General Manager
Endre has an educational background in management (HR) and a decade of experience in managing web-related software development. He makes good use of both of his management roles, concentrating on team-leading but with an understanding of IT. With his IAB involvement, he started focusing on the online-advertising industry, and these days one of his main focuses is to help promote, protect and grow the interactive advertising market in the CEE region.
For IAB Italy - Fabiano Lazzarini, General Manager
Fabiano has been General Manager of IAB Italy since April 2008. In this position, he is responsible for the strategic development of the Association, which maintains and coordinates the activities directed to owners, relations with the local market and international relations with IAB Europe, plans for training programs for operators of online and academia and the financial and administrative management. In addition to contributing to the promotion of IAB Italy at the major national media such as point of reference in the field of interactive digital communication, Lazzarini IAB represents Italy in public affairs activities designed to represent the interests of the industry within the institutions.
Lazzarini has been a member of the Study Committee of the Institute of Advertising Self-Regulation (IAP) since June 2009; from November 2009 he has also served on the Board of Directors of the Master in Communication, Digital Marketing and Interactive advertising, promoted by IAB Italy in collaboration with the High School in Media, Communication and Entertainment Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano.
For IAB Netherlands - Joris van Heukelom, President
Joris van Heukelom is partner at Maker Street and founder of the Founder Institute.
Since 1998 he has worked in media and telecommunications, including 8
years as Vice President at MTV Networks (MTV, MTV, Nickelodeon and The
Box) and 3.5 years Sanoma Media as director of the digital branch;
Sanoma Digital. Joris van Heukelom has a degree in Communication Sciences and a Master of Marketing & Advertising.
For IAB Spain - Antonio Traugott, Managing Director
"My objectives with the IAB Europe’s Board for developing the digital industry are as follows: always thinking, always creating, always pushing, breaking rules, never resigning, always looking for the next step, always fighting for our dignity, our standards, our creativity, our investment, our measurement...in conclusion, defending our role as the main character in the future of advertising".
For IAB UK - Guy Phillipson, CEO
"I became actively involved in the restructure and relaunch of IAB Europe because I wanted it to have a strong constitution and become an influential body which helps digital thrive - through important regulatory, research and best practice initiatives. The fact that so many countries and major corporate companies have joined to take part and fund IAB Europe is testament to the progress Alain and the team have made. I'm proud to have chaired the IAB Europe Board through this process and I hope to be re-elected to continue growing the Bureau into a major operation within the IAB global community".

For BBC Advertising - Tom Bowman, Vice President, Strategy & Operations, Global Advertising Sales, BBC Worldwide
Tom is the Vice President of Strategy & Operations for Global Advertising Sales at BBC Worldwide. Tom heads up a globally based team responsible for Sales Operations, Pricing and Inventory, Branded Content and Custom Solutions across the BBC’s TV, digital and mobile media services and also including Global Brand opportunities and new ventures.
Tom joined BBC Worldwide in November 2007 as the Vice President of International Advertising Sales for BBC.com. He is well-known across the Media business having worked for some of the largest names in the industry; and has a particular interest in developing digital opportunities.
Prior to joining BBC Worldwide, Tom held a number of commercial roles at MSN including leading global sales strategy, opening new markets and heading up the EMEA, LATAM and Asian sales teams. Prior to his time at MSN, Tom was the launch sales director for both Yahoo! UK and ZD Net UK. He has also worked on the agency side with the Saatchi and Saatchi Group and has held a number of non-executive directorships.

For Yahoo! - Christophe Parcot, Vice President and Managing Director of Yahoo! EMEA and Chris Sherwood, Director, Public Policy at Yahoo!
Chris Sherwood joined Yahoo! in 2009 as Director, Public Policy, based in Brussels. He covers all of Yahoo!’s public policy issues in Europe. Chris previously worked for the US Department of Commerce at the US Mission to the EU, where he worked on ICT sector-related issues, including privacy and environmental rules. He has also been a public affairs consultant in Brussels and an IT systems implementation consultant. He has Masters Degrees in German and European Studies. He speaks fluent English, French, German, and Polish. He has UK, French, and US nationalities.

"As Managing Director of comScore's European business operations for internet and mobile research products I believe that I have a background which will help guide and advise IAB Europe and be able to offer a broad perspective on the internet landscape in Europe. comScore now reports on internet activity in 17 countries in Europe and plans yet further expansion in the coming months/years. - comScore is committed to the development of online advertising in Europe and hopes that by its involvement with IAB Europe it can contribute to some key IAB Europe working groups. In particular Advertising Effectiveness Research, and Mobile advertising. Additionally, with the launch of Ad Metrix our new advertising delivery syndicated report we may be able to contribute to the assessment of total online spend figures and would be happy to contribute to the group that delivers this information".
For Hi-Media - Cyril Zimmerman, Founder & CEO and Gabriel de Montessus, Chief Financial Officer
Cyril Zimmermann is the founder and CEO of Hi-media which is one of the largest European on-line media pure players. Hi-media employs 370 people in 9 countries and has grown by 30% to 135M euros of revenues in 2008. Hi-media, the online media group, is of the top Internet publisher in the world with more than 50 million unique visitors per month on its proprietary websites. Hi-media is also a leading European player in online advertising and electronic payment. Its business model relies thus on two different sources of revenues: online advertising via its dedicated ad network Hi-media Network and online content monetization via its micropayment platform Allopass. The group which operates in 6 European countries, China, USA and Brazil employs more than 370 people and posted in 2008 135 million euros in sales. Independent since its creation in 1996, the company is listed since 2000 on the Euronext Eurolist Paris (Eurolist C) and is included in the SBF 250, CAC IT andCAC Small 90. ISIN code: FR0000075988. Gabriel de Montessus graduated from the University Paris-IX Dauphine and the business school EM Lyon. Before joining Hi-Media in 2007 he was an investment banker in mergers and acquisitions at Citigroup in Paris, working mainly on Tech/Media deals. Previously, he was a manager at VPSA (formerly Viventures), a venture capital fund dedicated to new technologies and to the Internet, where he handled the North American investments. Based in Palo Alto, California, he took part in this respect in many investments and exits.
