IAB Europe exists to promote the growth of Europe's interactive advertising markets through events, partnerships and communications activity, to protect the interests of the industry through an active programme of public affairs and to prove the value of the market through research and education.
The power of IAB Europe comes from its extensive membership at both country and corporate levels. Our national membership of 30 countries spans the entire continent - not only the mature markets of Western Europe, but also rapidly evolving markets including Croatia, Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, Slovakia and Ukraine.
Our corporate membership includes advertisers, major media groups, publishers and portals, agencies, research companies and technology and service providers.
Promote: Raising standards and awareness
Our Committees set standards for the digital and interactive advertising industry. They include the Brand Advertising Committee led by Eric Urdahl (UIM), Nick Drew (Microsoft) and Mats Selling (IAB Sweden) and the Mobile Committee led by Ludovic Lévy (Orange), Jon Mew (IAB UK), Hervé Le Jouan (MMA) and John Wittesaele (Hi-Media).
We also have an active programme of events, including the annual Interact Congress and MIXX Europe Awards as well as Executive Leadership Dinners, Regulatory Roundtables and Research Showcases. We partner other organizations to offer IAB members discounts on other pan-European events. Our President and Vice-President speak at more than 40 events per year across the region including many national IAB events. Our press team represents our various activities to the media across Europe.

Protect: Public Affairs
IAB Europe ensures that our industry is protected from unnecessary and ill-informed legislation that would restrict the growth of the online advertising industry. We are the industry’s primary representative to the European Parliament and Commission in Brussels and we maintain a staff of full-time lobbyists. Our experienced and dedicated team ensures that the regulator receives the right information at the right time to inform decisions. Our Policy Committee led by Stephan Nöller (nugg.ad) and Nick Stringer (IAB UK) and includes public affairs experts from member companies and countries.

IAB Europe works closely with key research organisations to keep our members abreast of developments in this dynamic and complex industry, generating reports including:
